Microbes - the smallest living creatures - are not only found everywhere (even inside us), but they've been on Earth far longer than any other form of life, and we wouldn't be alive without them.

To learn more about microbes we join two cute drones, C.A.R.L. (Completely Automated Researcher of Life) and C.A.R.L.A. (C.A.R.L Advanced), as they embark on a mission to explore how microorganisms make life on Earth sustainable.

We discover how microbes are essential for producing medicines, supporting plant and animal life, providing clean drinking water, maintaining the Earth's atmosphere, and even generating electricity!
